An Unknown Side Of Me

For the first time in a long while I actually believe in something.
I've always questioned the higher being mantra since I was young.
I could never make sense out of 1 person/being creating what we live on today known as earth.
Then after he/she was done, every other being was created. Be it human or animal.
People call it faith and that's fine.
People can believe what they want them to believe. Who am I to tell them that their belief is wrong?
I have written about beliefs in the past, But those were beliefs in a conscious state of mind.

Today I write about beliefs from a frame of mind that is questionable of it being conscious.
Some may say "Colin this belief is out there in the world already."
While that may be true, You rarely hear anyone speak of it outside of particular groups.
Those groups are sci-fi,comics and other platforms.
My particular belief involves the multi-verse theory.
To those not in the know. The multi-verse in definition is a cluster of universes beyond what we know, But you exist in each universe the same as you exist right now today reading what I'm typing.
That's my definition of it anyways. People generally refer to it in a conscious state.

My belief comes into to play now.
Take the multi-verse theory now add dreams.
Not the type of dreams that you want a house and a stable job with a loving family and all that.
Dreams of the sleeping variety.
The way I see it is that when you dream and have a lucid dream, You are tapping into one of
your multi-verse lives as a third party viewer.
Kinda like a ghost. You see and hear every thing, But the other you that you are viewing doesn't know you are really there.

They may get an inkling that you are there, but they are not positive about it.
Its pretty much the same feeling you get when you may think someone else is in an empty room with you.

A Needed Change

So that's a huge stretch of time in between my last random thoughts and writings to now with another one.
What can I say. I only write when I want to or I'm inspired  by something I see.
Also it's handy to be around something I can jot all these ramblings down in one felt swoop.
Here is my latest one some may or may have not seen.

See this one little blip (blip meaning link below) right here made a thought pattern emerge from my brain.
An idea of sorts.
A way to encourage learning in anyone, but specifically the younger generations that are going through school right now.

At first without glimpsing at the actual link, (The aforementioned link I talked about above *Click Me*)
I assumed(like a dumbass) that this would be making fun of "mericans" and the failure of the school system.

In the form of letter associations to words for learning the alphabet.

Which it entirely is not.
It is of a completely different subject all together.(I think.I only skimmed the article)

But to get back to my thought.
Everything is made easy for learning the the alphabet.(Generally)
Which I see the advantage to,But I see it as a hindrance as well.

An example of the hindrance that went through my head was
A is for apple

Just about everyone knows what an apple is even little kids.
The way I see that is it doesn't quite stir up an interest into learning other words beginning with A.

Why not use something that is not known so well such as
A is for amphitheater.

Someone that is not knowing what an amphitheater is will look it up in a dictionary and find its meaning, And while in there may find more words they did not know of or what they meant.

That will cause more of an interest in learning more.
Rather than not looking because you already know what an apple is.

Crazy midnight thoughts brought to you by me.

No Title

You know what,
Lately i see all these quote's from "famous" or "well known" people.
It maybe my "negative" side peeking out.
Some may call it jealousy,
But most of these quotes of there's are about there "life experiences" or "views" and occasional "facts".

Now ill get this straight right here and now.
They all had to get to there attained position by whatever means hard work, luck, born into it (i.e. rich parents) etc.
But it appears at face value that these "life experiences" they are referring to came about after such stardom that the everyday people placed upon them for whatever means.
I'll admit I can/could be outright wrong.
But without said stardom would said "quotes" still be famous?
Or do we take the "quotes" as a value because the people are famous?
Because otherwise the "quotes" would be just words from some random person throughout history.

Now in the same light with being a "well known" or "famous" person,
That allows you to explore what your most happy with in your life with such ease and compassion, Allowing you to use your full potential to discover new and interesting things about whatever you choose, Without the worry of financial liability  that the "everyday joe" has to worry about.

I'm not saying that the "everyday joe" cannot do such things it just takes more time,
Sheer determination and rock solid will power will be needed to attain such a feat.

I just think it would be great that if everyone could take that same value of faith, belief or what not, That they instill in said quote and put in in themselves and hold onto it for as long as possible.

Then without being "well known" or "famous" you could attain the same level of enlightenment, happiness, clarity that they felt at the time.

Title At The End

I have a "beef"with this so called country and its ideals of "freedom" & "opportunity".
In the eyes of a common low to middle class citizen being born and raised here in the united states of america,
The ideals that once existed are no longer.
The only people that have that "freedom" & "opportunity" are people that are born into money or have "connections".
To have said "opportunity" you have to relinquish any idea of  "freedom" you possess.
By "opportunity" in this writers eyes means starting something of your own.
Something that puts a smile on your face, and not an everyday smile.
Something that make that fire inside ignite into something more, be it a passion for art, music etc.
In my young & inexperienced eyes, I do not see a government/country that is pro-active for the "every day joe" to be able to do such a thing.
This writing stems from and idea. An idea that brings me to a point in myself that I rarely see.
A point of happiness that I am constantly told that I will never obtain.
In its simple-lest form.
The idea does not stem from financial gain or greed.
The idea stems from an educational standpoint first and happiness next.
Money is the last thing on my mind when I think of this.
But it is not the way that this country or government that I live in.
Those listed above revolve around debt and debt alone and toss in some greed for good measure.
No growth, no education(which should be free to all) and no happiness.
Now i understand that education can be free to a point, Anyone can go and pick up a book and learn.
But its that ever so important piece of paper that we all paid multiple thousands of dollars for that strangle us for  the next good chunk of our lives.
Lets face it the way the world works today it all revolves mainly around that little $20.00 piece of paper with you name on it, And without it you are somewhat withheld from attaining all you can attain in this life.
You could have a person that is highly motivated and driven, Learning from the same book that the college person did and that non-college "educated" person would be a rare chance of being a hire in the "real world" today, even if the non "college"educated person had real world experience they would most likely not get picked for a job against that person with the $20.00 piece of paper with their name on it, I'd give it MAYBE a 60/40 chance of the non "college" educated person getting the job and I think I'm being gracious with that number.
To obtain said "opportunity" you have to commit yourself to a slave in this new world we live in now.
While you commit to this "opportunity" you lose your "freedom" to do anything in this world that could make you enjoy life and be happy, By "silencing" yourself in debt to a conglomerate.
In the state I live in the costs are so high for all things.
How is anyone so young supposed to start anything of their own in these times of the economy.
Any dreams of happiness are shutdown and damn near shattered.
We have to sacrifice our "happiness" our "freedom" for the illusion of the so called "Great American Dream".
Those times are gone I believe, In reference to the "Great American Dream".
We are a generation of debt consumers,
Not life consumers like our parents before us.
They were the last of a great generation where one could reach and obtain the "Great American Dream".
The house with the white picket fence,The small family owned business down the street.
The times that I'm sure were tough, But also the times when you could start something and call it......

What Lies Beneath

What lies beneath my skin is fear.
Fear that I wont succeed
Fear that I cannot withstand damage
Fear that my ideas are looked upon without care.
Fear that I cannot act upon what I truly feel.

Fuck fear and all it's games and disguises.
I will succeed.
I will withstand any damage inflicted upon myself be it physical or mental,

For I am stronger than I appear.
My ideas are my own, And it is upon my own action that they will fail or be seen without care
These are the fears I can address without consequence.

By my own nature I feel I am a protector, possibly a warrior of sort.
My greatest challenge thus-far in life is to find a way to be that protector/warrior for others when in need and not fear the consequence,
For I can deal with pain and sorrow, But I cannot deal with the pain and sorrow of those closest to me.
I was born in a time where I cannot take action in my own hands and it is left to someone without proper knowledge or emotion of the situation.
For this is the role I have chosen in my past life that has carried over to this life and I cannot act upon it without being seen as a vigilante
For what truly lies beneath is the fear that I have not confronted, And the fear that i'm more capable of my unknown ability

Back in the day

Why can't Saturdays be like the Sundays of yesteryear?
For those that are not in the know Sundays back in the day the only things that were open were church and Chinese food restaurants. Why can't weekends be like that I bet there would be less craziness afoot in the world today And people just maybe healthier(sp?)

But think of it this way back In the day you actually saw most of your family and friends.
Look how that's changed over the last 30 years or so when is the last time you have seen your extended family not counting funerals and weddings.
It used to be common practice.
Big gatherings and dinners with uncles aunts grand ma's and grand pa's etc and friends from the neighborhood all on Sundays.
People used to shut down streets and have a street a cue (whole street BBQ )

Now when's the last time you actually saw any of this?

When's the last time anyone saw or actually knew everyone within at least a 2 street radius of where you lived?

Hell I remember when I used to know everyone that lived around me and there phone numbers from memory.

Now I know no one that really lives around me with exception of a few never mind there phone #'s

Now can I blame some of this on myself?
Of course I can

But as a whole the mass majority of people don't care anymore
Were all robots and sheep the majority of us.
And it's fucking sickening.

Gone are the days when people where people
Family was family (including friends as family)
